Consumer: Stay away from this company. We have been paying the premium in full to this insurance company for years. This insurance company demonstrated they only want the money, but did not pay the claim for accidental water discharge damage per policy. We did cancel the policy.

I would give them a negative number if I could. Been paying premiums for years. We had wind damage from 70mph winds and they refused the claim and won't even talk to us.

The adjustors was such a chicken he wouldn't even discuss the claim. Just said it was in my email. Now they will not even call us back. We have left 10 voice mails a day asking for a call back. This has been over 2 weeks and nothing. Do not waste your money. Choose anyone but them. Their car insurance isn't any better

Claims

I have been with your company since 2018. I have never missed one payment and all payments have been paid on time. The way I was treated by your team was disappointing. I canceled one of cars insurance back in December. Because your team did not do their jobs in a timely manner, I got charged for that payment again. Now my account will bounce due to the negligence of your company. I am considering another company because you guys do not care about your long term customers.

I needed to reset my auto pay after purchasing a new vehicle. Mercury,as always,provided excellent service. The rep was clearly understood,efficient,and did her job with a positive attitude. I have NO complaints about Mercury Insurance other than their premiums are a bit high,nut for such great coverage and service,it's worth it!

Increased cost several times over the ten plus years, every other month. And spoke to the agent, the agent said I would have to answer an email, then contact the main office to confirm. The office is in city of Tustin,ca.92781.payment was taken for the policy

Called about payments automatically coming out of my account for a card that was cancelled over a year ago. Helped me figure out the balance, but the call dropped as soon as I was getting transferred to the website department because I couldnt remember what I used to log into the account. Not happy the call was dropped.

Fraud

Dear legal team ! On December 8th, I was a victim of insurance fraud by a company called Jericho share!

Their crimes and scams are all over the network! I thought I was buying blue shield health insurance. After I gave my gave the sales rep said hed adding a $100.00 fee. I said no wait that doesnt sound right.

He said yes its standard. I said no do not charge. He said ok. This is our 3rd call.

I researched and realized they were a huge national scam . I called again and he promised not to charge. Then he put me on hold for 40 mins. Thats when he lied and charged.

I told mercury aboutnit and it , like Amex and capital one, my other cards they took care of the customer. My card has been maxed out for 3 months since December due to COVID etc. the minute I paid my bill in full, mercury let the charge go through a second time. I warned mercury and a dispute was filed with the details that these people were not legit and were criminals.

Mercury ignored me, a loyal customer and let the charge go through! I warned that they were fraud!!!! I need my money back! Not only are the a scam, but mercury let them scam me!

I need my money back asap!

This is wrong !!! Its been very stressful!!! Please have mercury return my money or have mercury reverse the charge. I am a victim here and I am a loyal customer that even warned mercury!!!!

Vehicle total loss

I was in a car accident which was the other drivers fault two months ago. The vehicle was a total loss. I reached out to mercury the day of the accident and have been in contact pretty much daily with mercury. I requested the insurance be canceled two months ago. Mercury was supposed to cancel the policy early June. To no avail, they took a payment from my bank account in June causing the account to overdraft. I have tried multiple times to call and email the agent with documentation and proof payment caused overdraft fees and the policy is still active. I called mercury about the whole situation and the customer service department was no help at all and told me to speak with my agent! I can’t get her to call me back after calling and leaving messages multiple times as well as emails over and over. I logged into my account only to see that there is a scheduled payment to come out of the overdraft account again for 7/26. I cannot get anywhere with this company. They refuse to reimburse the funds for the June payment or the fees that my bank has charged due to insufficient funds. I have proven emails from my agent in early June that state the policy would be canceled. I will be reporting mercury to BBB and consumer affairs. How can you trust a company that simply never calls you back knowing that the fault was not mine with proof of police reports. It makes no sense.

Rookie Adjusters - Corrupt Insurance Company

We have had 4 claims with Mercury within the past 4 years. On our first claim, Mercury didn't do an asbestos test for the damaged area. Because Mercury assumed that it would only have one claim. The only reason why we found out that Mercury didn't do an asbestos test was when the same area was damaged again. Because Mercury lowballed the first claim for the same area. Asbestos tests run about $1100. And the insurance companies pick up the cost for that. If Mercury 'forgets' to do an asbestos test, policy owners would not be aware of it - unless they had another claim. If Mercury fails to do testing that cost $1100 for uninformed insured with damages - Mercury saves a lot of money. And audit of Mercury claims by the Department of Insurance or a good law firm would flush out that information. And, Mercury lowballs the scope of damages - by rookie adjusters that have no clue about construction. They focus on job security - not homeowner damages. And they are trained that way - by Mercury. Then Mercury disregards the experienced State -licensed contractors who know the damages and the actual repair and replacement costs for the State of California. And who work in the filed in construction for years and years. Contractors who have far more experience and expertise than anyone at Mercury sitting behind a desk - or In & Out adjusters trained on the job for their 'construction' expertise. What a racket.,
